As no explanation or apology was forthcoming from the Coreans, Admiral Rodgers attacked and destroyed the five forts, killing over 240 Koreans and losing 3 American lives with 10 more wounded. This report has two accompanying diagrams of the attacking formation of the US military forces attacking the forts
